High-lights and low-lights add depth to this wonderfully touchable, hand dyed 100% alpaca yarn. I dye the yarn in my kitchen using non-toxic, wash and light fast commercial dyes. The yarn is reskeined after the dyeing so those nasty tangles created by the yarn getting too frisky in the dye bath have been taken care of.

This is the perfect weight yarn for socks, gloves, feather light scarves and shawls. This is the yarn used in Kira K Designs "Sarnia Shawl" (www.kirakdesigns.com/sarnia_shawl.htm).

Each skein is 250 yards / approx. 50 grams; 2-ply; approx 1875 yards per lb.; 20 wpi
7+ stitches / inch on 0-3 US needles

It's so soft. It feels really nice in the fingers, very high quality. The perfect colpr for what i wanted. Rather fuzzy, I've never worked with alpaca before but I have quickly learned it is not the type that likes to be frogged a lot. I love it.
